"Unable to retrieve list information from the SharePoint site" when trying to access User Information List

Hi there! I have a secondary data connection in my infopath form that retrieves the "User Information List". Last week we moved the solution from our test environment to our production environment, so obviously i had to modify this data connection and change the "location of the SharePoint site" to the new root URL, i click next and it shows the list and library i can use as my data connection. I see the "User Information List" in this list. But when i choose it and click next, i get the error message "The Operation could not be completed. Unable to retrieve  list information from the sharepoint site". This was working in the old test environment. I am the site collection admin for this production environment so i have full access to everything, so it looks to me it isn't a permissions issue. My colleague tried to do the same thing on her computer, which is set up the data connection (with the new root URL) to User Information List in InfoPath in her computer, and she had no issues. I also added the root SharePoint URL to my Trust Sites and restarted my computer. I am at a loss to what else i can try. Please help!

I think the first thing I'd do is try connecting to the list in a new blank form. Are you able to create a connection? If so, then I'd save both forms (the new, test form and the form with the issue) as source files (Publish > Export Source Files). From there, it is icky, but you can compare the manifest.xsf files and look for differences in the data connections.
