Well - as to "why" - that is just something intrinsic in the design of the product, I'm afraid. As to how to work around it.... is the form bound to an Access DB and you wish to submit some of the info to a different table then the table(s) the form currently submits to? Or is the form not database bound at all? This can be done with code, but that has its own challenges - has to be written and maintained, depending on the code it may change some of your publishing distribution options, etc.
