Well.... you'd need to add fields in the list for them, then determine how you wish to aggregate the data? Because this data is repeating, so you'd need to use a sum formula or something for the default values for the new list columns.

Since these calculations are part of the "vendor data" it would have to send it back to that list, but I cant send data to two lists at once. I don't see this information sitting on the Call-up list well, or being useful there. Honestly I had forgotten about the issues with repeating data going into lists. I don't think this will work well or accomplish what I was thinking. Thanks!

Hi Hilary, I've been trying to add a repeating section calling back to the Vendor list filtered by the SO selected, very similar to the other repeating section, but I need it to show the vendors even if there are no callups by the vendor. is this possible in the current repeating section? right now it only shows vendors that have call-ups (the whole section is perfect right now though). I've added a repeating section in the top right, but I cant get it to display vendors when there are no call-ups. can you tell me what I'm doing wrong please? Thanks Daniel

It looks like the first condition on the new table to only show each vendor once might have been causing the issue - I changed that. The vendor name in this case is the "title" field.

something didn't work, when an SO is selected, if there are no call-ups, the table is still blank. If I select an SO with call-ups, the vendors get displayed properly. I think it has something to do with the rules on the section, not sure what though.

Did you copy the formatting rules from the other table to this one? Right now, there is a formatting rule checking if the SO Numbers match. I think instead you just want to check if the SO Number (in the secondary data source, that the repeating section is bound to) is blank, right? Want to give that a try?

So the original section has two formatting rules on it; the first one is formatting and shows "vendor = preceding sibling::Sharepoint...." (Name: Hide if already displayed) and the other is SO number ≠ SO number (Name: Hide for SO number). I've poked at these rules a bunch, but I cant seem to make it display filtered results based on the SO selected. is this where I would use the query fields in the rules? also, I have no idea what the preceding sibling rules means. what does that do? Thanks

In the new section, you only want the rows where the SO Number is blank, is that right? I'm sorry - I'm getting confused as to what you want displayed where. At any rate, I made that change in this version. The preceding-sibling rule is so each vendor only shows once? Since I don't know what your list data looks like, I don't know if that is needed in this new section.

so that didn't work either, I've modified the rules and filters a bunch and still cant seem to get it right. Sorry i'm being confusing, What i'm trying to make happen, is when an SO gets selected, the section in the top right should show the vendors attached to the selected. and to not show anything when the SO is blank. I feel it should be a simple filter, but nothing I try works. I don't think i need the preceding sibling rule because all vendors per SO should show.

When which "SO" is blank? The one in the form (the dropdown control in the form) or the one in the vendors list?

the dropdown control in the form, the SO field from the vendor list will never be blank. I've tried to filter for SO selected on the field tried the same thing in the rules, but all entries from the vendor list always seem to show up regardless of the filter that I'm trying to apply

Maybe try this one? I left the preceding sibling rule, but you can remove it if it isn't needed. Sometimes when trying to figure these things out it is easiest to change colors for the section instead of hiding - then you can see which rule is being applied.

this is close, when an SO is selected, it brings up the vendors, the problem is that if there are no call-ups against that vendor, it shows a space for it, but no the name. I think the problem is that this is a copy of the original section you made that I modified, but it's still getting some of this information from the Callup_DC, but it should be grabbing vendor names from the vendor DC, filtered by the SO selected.

Oh. Just change that calculated value in the column to use the Vendor_DC title without the XPath filter.
