I suppose I'd either add a rule on Submit to set the HTML Coded string field, or I'd use a default value there. For a default value in the _HTMLCodedString field in your ior form:

xdMath:Eval(xdMath:Eval(../my:group1/my:group2, 'concat("", my:QTY, "", my:ItemNbr, "", my:UnitPrice,"")'), "..")

I am not sure what happened but I dont think I got the whole message because it didnt make sense to me at all.

 Oh wow - Chrome mucked up the formatting. Just fixed in IE.

I do not see anything I really need help understanding this. Thank you again for your help. Dorinda

I am still so lost I am attaching the form so you can see what it is doing. I cannot get it to do anything.

I have tried to type this and get all kinds of errors I am not sure what I am doing wrong but I cannot get this to work. Please help Dorinda

Looks like the HTML tags were removed from my formula. I've put the formula in the default value in your HTML coded string for you, using the same approach as in the expense report form you included from the webinar you watched. It is more helpful if you can include info on the errors, like screenshots, or the error text, or information on what you expect to have happen and what is actually happening.

So from the webinar it wants you to set it on the submit rule. I tried that and it doesnt like it i am adding to an action rule, when you put it as the default it works fine. Not sure how to fix this one? "../my:group1/my:group2" does not point to a valid location path of a field or group.

Use the field picker in the formula editor to re-select group 2.

Now I am getting this error and here is what i have Type mismatch. Error occurred during a call to property or method 'Eval'.

Here. I put the formula on a button for you in this copy. The button is named "Button" and is at the top of the approval view.

You are most likely opening it instead of opening in design mode. Save the linked file locally. Right click on the saved file and select Design to open in design mode. EDITED TO ADD - to save the linked file locally, right click the link and select the option to save. That menu option will differ depending on what browser you are using.
