    All formatting rules stopped working as of 9-25-2019

    I am building a form with multiple sections and rules based on Yes/No answers to display a comment rich text box. All of my rules have stopped. I do not have any nested sections but have multiple sections on the form. Any idea whats going on? Dorinda

    Browser or Filler? Does it work in preview but fail in the browser, for example? If it also fails in preview, can you attach a copy under the Options tab in a reply and I'll take a look?

    Yes it works in preview but not in browser it is published to an O365 form library but stopped working in the last few days i have even built a brand new form and it is not working I am have tried in Chrome, IE 11 nothing

    Oh yuck. Do you mind attaching a copy of the form (or email me via the forum - I'll reply & you can send me the form)? You can attach a copy under the Options tab in a reply. It will be later today, but I'll try on my Office 365 site, just to see if it works there....

    attached you are looking at the new request form default, you will choose the type of request the one with the rules is the cancellations

    Can you tell me a field that has a formatting rule on it? I started clicking through the text boxes looking for formatting rules, but I'm not finding any.

    under the cancellation request Reason for Cancellation, the yes/no are hiding a comment box that i am showing always showing it should only show when Yes is selected

    One thing you could do is put the ReasonXI field on the form and publish and verify it is being set to 1, 2, etc as anticipate by your formatting condition in the browser.

    The interesting thing is that the dropdown at the top of the form that shows the different sections is working but the rules within the sections are not....weird

    I'm guessing that the issue is specifically with hiding rich text boxes. Same thing happens for me - but you can put the RT boxes inside sections and they will show / hide correctly. You don't have to create a bunch of new fields - you can bind the sections to ReasonXI or to the RT Field

    I actually had that first and it didnt work. I dont know whats going on but it was all working two days ago no problem

    Yes, I understand that it was working - however, SharePoint online can change without warning due to updates. Hiding a section worked in my SharePoint online tenant - you may want to open a support ticket with Microsoft on this one. I'd probably set up a simple form where you can reproduce the issue - then you can send them that (something with no external data connections, etc).
