Change default value in each row of repeating table

I wanted to see if it was possible to change the default value of a drop down list in each row of a repeating table? For example, there is a drop down list of approx 40 items within a repeating table that would have 40 rows. I would like to have it where when the form loads it create the repeating table with 40 rows and each row has a different value selected in the drop down. So if the drop down is 1,2,3,4, etc. Then each row would have the value at 1 then 2 then 3, etc. I have tried doing some research but I'm not finding an option to make it happen. Any ideas? Appreciate the help!

See attached. Save the file locally, right click and select Design, then preview. I included some screenshots to help you find where these settings are: Data > Default Data on the ribbon.
