InfoPath Dev

I'm on SharePoint 2013 working with InfoPath 2010. I have an "Approval" field with two choices "Approved" or "Disapproved". I have one Submit button. On the submit button, I have two Action rules: First rule: Submit Disapproved Condition: Approval = "Disapproved" Actions: Submit using a data connection: Main Data Connection Switch to View: Rejected Message Set a field's value: Status = "Read Only" Second rule: Submit Approved Condition: Approval = "Approved" Actions: Submit using a data connection: Main Data Connection Switch to View: Approved Message Set a field's value: Status = "Photo Needed" The submit button works if the item is approved. I tried switching the order and put the Disapproved rule first - did not work. I then clicked the box "Don't run remaining rules if the condition of this rule is met" - did not work. I even disabled the Approval rule and ran - did not work. I'm not sure what else to check. Thanks in advance for help.

So, one thing I'm wondering about is that is that you are setting a field's value after you submit - just as an FYI, whatever you set that field to won't be saved, because you aren't resubmitting the form. When you say the rule on Disapproved doesn't work - is the form not getting submitted at all? Or is it just that the status isn't what you'd expect? If its the status, set that field to Read Only prior to submitting....

Hi Hilary: Thanks for response but I figured out my mistake. I had the default value for Disapproved as Rejected when it should have Disapproved. Changed it and it worked.
