    Upgrade a template

    Hi all,

I have a form by using an old schema. The template has some schema changes. I had write a stylesheet upgrade.xsl for transforming from old to new schema. It works fine when I test the upgrade.xsl with the old.xml in the browser.
When I activate the option under form options "update forms automatically" and replace the old upgrade.xsl with my own upgrade.xsl the transformation doesn't work.
How can I implement the transformation by using the stylesheet? How can I use the OnVersionUpgrade event? I'd tested also this event but it doesn't worked.

    Hi Mancha,

I'm sure this is going to be very difficult. InfoPath is incredibly picky about the underlying XML files that run some of the processes. I would suggest that you start from the upgrade.xsl that InfoPath creates, and then edit this directly piecemeal until you have the complete stylesheet. There are bound to be some areas where InfoPath complains so you should debug with each new line you add.

    Hope this helps!
