Can we have a fitler in a repeating table?

     Hello, it is me again.

This is just to seek help if there's a way we can put a repeating table filter?

    Thanks in advance!

I've attached a simple sample of one approach. Save the file locally & preview to try it out.

Thank you – how about this scenario – I have a search engine on top, and on result I can use the filter?

Also another thing, for the CV Status field, can I get this value from another source passing the Employee Display Name as parameter?

It is really just a matter of setting the conditional formatting on the repeating table based on your criteria. Feel free to attach a copy of your form under the Options tab in a reply - It is hard to give you specific information without knowing your form schema.

Attached. Basically the search result is the one I wanted to filter, based on its result values. Example, given the search returns a long table of values, I can use then the filter to select or trim from the repeating table.

I think it would only work if I selected to search for all, no sense if I searched under Discipline dropdown, perhaps the subdiscipline can be filtered and the employee display name - cascading.

Also for the subdiscipline column, it is a multi text column, how come it is not returning a value in data connection queryFields.

    Thank you.

Oh - I see, you are setting query fields then executing the query. I hadn't realized that - I thought you just were using conditional formatting. You may want a rule to clear the query fields after the query executes so that you don't have a stray value confusing things. I think you also may want to have your rules just set the query fields, then add another rule on your search button to run the query, in case the user has made selections from more than one of the dropdowns. Some list field types aren't query-able, like the multi-select. For those, you will need to use conditional formatting on the repeating table to hide the rows you don't want the user to see.

Hello, was able to use another workaround, now what I needed is just a filter for Sub discipline (multiple line) based on Discipline being selected. I used xml document data connection which I converted.

Weird part, it was working offline but on browser it gives an error. I'll attach the error screenshot on my reply here - thanks
