Good Day. I have a secondary datasource (sp list), that has 10k data, i would want to filter it by setting the QueryField, can we set it to "Contains" instead of "="? Is it possible? im using browser IP 2013. Please let me know if i can modify the manifest.xsf just to pull data that Contains certain values.

No - but you could use REST for this! http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/t/26808.aspx has some URLs with a concat to pass in a value.

Yes, but it is throwing error when I use REST. I'm using SPOnline.

That's unfortunate - you won't be able to use REST in SharePoint Online in an InfoPath browser form. I don't know of a solution for this - but I'm wondering if you could instead have your users enter the first three characters of the item you want and have another field that just has that substring? You could use MS Flow (or SharePoint workflow) to populate it. It can't be calculated because those aren't available for query fields.
