Hello,

 

I need a help, I have a InfoPath form integrated in SharePoint 2013 server.

Recently I was requested to perform a change  and create a list with a field which will be updated when submit the form.

Mainly I have a "budget",  "expanse" and "rest" field which is subtraction of those two values.

 When I click submit the "rest" field content would need to update a field in a list "budget list" in SharePoint.

 

I have a connection to this list as this form collect information from it.

I query data connection info in a role of submit button before putting "set field value" and selecting a field from "budget list" and get info from the "rest field"

 

I hope it's not to fuzzy explained.

If you need to update a list from InfoPath, and it is not a list form (sounds like this is not) - you have to use code, qRules, or CAML - you actually may be able to use workflow as well. If each submitted form only has a single rest field value, I'd probably use workflow for this - store the list item's ID in the form, promote that and the rest value, add a workflow to the library and you'd be done. If the data is repeating, it gets a little more challenging.

Thank you Hilary indeed it's a repeating table so I'm looking into CAML script examples online.
