Duplicate Columns usuing Property promotion to Sharepoint

     Hi there:

I am using InfoPath 2007 to create a fairly complicated form that has been working great - we decided to add some workflow on the SharePoint side so I added a few fields in the form and promoted them when I published the form back to SharePoint.  now I have duplicated and triplicate columns and many of my workflows won't work because of the extra fields.  How can I remove the duplicate fields from my SharePoint library?

     Any help would be appreciated.

Is the form published as a content type? Or directly to the library? Do you publish to different sites, like a DEV / TEST / PROD scenario? Or did you just publish back to the same site?

Hi Hilary:  Not sure if my response made it thru as I added a few screen shots.  Can I attach them in an email to you?

You can add screenshots (sadly only one per post) under the Options tab in a reply. :)

Just updating this thread with what we learned via email. In your case, the duplicated columns were NOT associated with the content type for the library. You went to /_layouts/mngfield.aspx (to see the site content type columns) and deleted the ones that were not associated with the content type. SharePoint didn't let you delete any columns actually in use by a content type, so you were able to delete the duplicates and that cleaned up your library.
