    Object explorer is empty

    Hello everybody,

    I'm beginner with InfoPath.
I have a simple InfoPath file with 2 buttons.
I work with the VBS langage.
I'cannot find my 2 buttons in the Object Explorer.
In fact, there is nothing in my Object Explorer.

    What's happening ?

    Thanks for your help.
    Alain.

    Hi Alain.
    Welcome to the Forum.

What you mean by Object Explorer.

If it is Object Browser then it does not show any of the project contents.
Try to add any Components to the Object Browser you will see them in Object Browser.

    Thanks for your help.

Sorry fot the vocabulary but I work with a french version of InfoPath. My problem occurs with the window that displays the hierarchy of all the objects on the left and all the members of the selected object on the right. It is usefull for programmers.

Before, I had no object at all in this browser. I have added the InfoPath library and, now, I have the root objects but I still have problems: I cannot find all the objects I need. For example, if I select the XDocument object, I have a DOM property but I cannot find the DOM object (and I think there are a lot of usefull members for this object).

    Hi Alain,

You might be interested to know that we actually have a French section of the forums where members like yourself can discuss InfoPath in your native tongue - try it out!

As for your question, I think what you are saying is that you can't find the data type to set a reference to the DOM property. If you are using VBScript, which is dynamically typed, you don't really need to do this. An example is below, but I don't do VBScript, so it might be a little off.

    Dim myDOM = XDocument.DOM

If you are using managed code you are looking for the IXMLDOMDocument, IXMLDOMDocument2, or IXMLDOMDocument3 data type. I suggest using 2 or 3, see below (in C#):

    IXMLDOMDocument3 myDOM = (IXMLDOMDocument3)thisXDocument.DOM;

    I hope this helps!
