     I am new to InfoPath.According to the method（http://www.bizsupportonline.net/infopath2003/shrinking-dropdown-list-repeating-table-infopath.htm），the filter “not(.= xdXDocument:get-DOM()+XPath” works in parent repeat table, but all child repeat tables share a common drop-down list. 

    How to modify the filter to creat a independent  shrinking drop-down list in child repeat table by infopath？

    Try this one - you'll see I changed the filter to use current to get the current outer group. :) Save the file locally, right click & select design, then preview.
