 I have a form that is using people/group picker, it works great when used in the form. But when the form is submitted to email the field is blank. I have a text field that populates the display name when "check name" is selected and the text field works great when submitted to email.  The problem is the business doesn't want the text field showing.  How can I have the text field hidden until the form is submitted so that it will show in e-mail?

I usually add a helper field for this - a True/False field in the main data source, defaulted to false, with a name like "IsEmailing". Then, when I go to send the email, I set IsEmailing to true, send the email, set IsEmailing to false. Then, I can use conditional formatting on various controls to show or hide them based on the value of IsEmailing. :)
