What is best logic rule to have a custom button that Updates and displays pop confirmation? The button properties are set to Update Form as action, but just do not see how to create a confirmation. I know how to do on submit by rule to switch view , but what about is user goes in and out of form periodically to make updates I want to use a controlled section with "Update Successful" and only make visible on Update button click

 I haven't ever used the Update Form option - it looks like it just triggers a postback - so the data isn't being submitted, but any postback actions can be grouped. Is that your desired outcome? If instead you want to save data, you could just use rules on your button and have one rule submit, and another set a field to "saved successfully" or something and display that on your form.
