    Csacading drop-down in repeating section

    Hello All,

This is my first post here, I've learned a lot in that forum many thanks!

I need to make cascading drop down based on that information prepared in separate list in SP "Cities_Offices"
Those dropdowns will be in Repeating Section!

It should work with 2 drop fields ("City" and "Office №") when I select the "Country" to give me the numbers below it as options in the second dropdown  "Office №"

Sorry for asking something already asked but I read so much about different solutions that I get lost and probably doing something wrong.

Hi - if you can attach a copy of your form with the list data connection and the Country dropdown configured, I can help you with this. You can add an attachment under the Options tab in a reply. :)

Re: Csacading drop-down in repeating section

Hello Hilary, I have managed to do it creating a table with repeating cities + option "Show only entries with unique display names"
But now I'm facing another problem, trying to extract the data from 4 columns with numbers in 4 fields, depending on 3 drop down selection.

I've made 3 filter conditions all 3 searching for equals in main matching with external information in SP list, all working in InfoPath preview but when I upload it in SP it returns error when try to add new item:

The form could not be displayed because default values or rules are taking too long to evaluate. To correct this, simplify the expressions or reduce the size of the data sets that they depend on.

Any ideas how to fix it? Thank you!

Is your SharePoint server on-prem or Office 365 (SharePoint Online)?

i thing I got an idea, so I have 5 fields to be populated with default values based on 3 others dropdown menus. It is working with 3 filter Conditions until I upload it (probably is to heavy) So I was thinking to use those filter conditions only for one of those 5 fields and then using its id to populate the other 4. Is that possible?

I am not sure w/out seeing the form - I'm having a hard time understanding how the form is currently designed. But yes, you could give that a try. I really don't see how 3 conditions on a filter could cause this issue in the browser, unless you have some fields with defaults that are firing rules and causing complexity.

When I use those 3 filters only on one of those 5 fields it is working online, the problem comes when I add them to others
