    Display count of returned records

     Hi there.

I'm required to make some changes to an existing form which is connected to a forms library. Data is being fetched using a webservice. The form has several  data connections.

The form has cascading drop down lists. The 1st populates the 2nd. When a selection is made in the 2nd the 3rd dropdown populates. We need to display a count of the items listed in the 3rd.

Does anyone know how this is possible? I'm new to InfoPath so would help if the steps could be explained a little.

    Thanks

The 2nd and 3rd dropdown will have filters on the data that is displayed for the dropdown values. You can use a count formula with the same filters to get the count of rows that match the same conditions. Take a look at the properties on the two dropdowns, and in the area where you can select the data for the control, you should be able to see the filters currently being used. Then on the form you could add a calculated value that has a count formula using the same filters.
