    Data Connection to SharePoint Online (SSO/ADFS)

     Hi -

    We are moving from SP 2010 on prem  to Office 365 in the cloud. I know Office 2010 has a issue connecting to (SSO) but, we have upgraded.  I have converted to InfoPath 2013 and was able to connect to a SharePoint list in our test tenant. The issue is our prod tenant has SSO and when I try and connect to list I get;

     and fiddler doesn't offer much.

    I tried setting trusted sites and  "automatic logon with username and password" w/o success.

     We are trying smart links and auto acceleration setting i.e  Set-SPOTenant –SignInAccelerationDomain “”  to find the "home realm"  Has anyone seen this issue? I'm guessing it's some restriction we have in our production environment.

     Your screenshot doesn't show - can you attach it again under the options tab?

    Oh wow, that's totally unhelpful. I'll ping Jim and see if he knows anything.

    So - dumb question - but have you selected "remember me" when logging into SharePoint? Or since you are using SSO, that isn't needed? Is the site in your local intranet in IE?

     I checked the "keep me signed in" box. The site is in Trusted Sites

     The issue was "modern authentication' by default is not enabled in InfoPath. For our tenant we have;

     LegacyAuthProtocolsEnabled="F"   -- apparently needs to be for 2-factor authentication (which we have set-up for admin accounts)

    The fix is either have this flag set to "Y' or modify the registry;

    HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common\Identity\EnableADAL

    REG_DWORD

    1

    HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common\Identity\Version

    REG_DWORD

    1
