Update field in a form library

I've created a procedure that will update fields in a custom list but I was wondering if the same can be done for a form library. I used the same code but the field is not updating. When I click submit the form submits but the value is not updated.

The form library fields come from the properties in the XML documents. Saving an XML file to a form library causes a simple XML parser to run to extract the values. If you need to update the values, just use the out-of-box feature to update on save. Go to Tools->Form Options->Columns and add some. Reopen your xml form and save it back to the site. Properties should show up.

Thanks for the info. After I read your post I realized I was trying to do this the hard way. I wanted a yes/no field to indicate whether or not the form was active so I added a field to the library then imported it as a secondary datasource. What I should have done was simply add a boolean to the main datasource and promoted the field. Guess that's why you're the pro. Thanks again!

Or, you could say it's a symbiotic affliction! :)
Hey, so meta data in the form (for example active status) isn't the best design practice, but it'll work in a pinch and we have done it in the past ... the alternative is usually too much trouble unless you have a full-blown backend.
