InfoPath Dev

We are working on an InfoPath 2010 form, and want to create a template to further develop separate from the users. We are unable to create a template, we have been able to with other lists. We have submitted a ticket to our helpdesk and they have elevated further. We have eliminated excess views. Maybe the problem is that some of the form's data sources are in another site (i.e., the form may be using at least one data source in the parent *live* site). Any suggestions? Any assistance will be appreciated

I'm confused again. :) So - you go to a list, and click customize with InfoPath? And .... ? What happens? You get an error? Or am I misunderstanding?

This is the error we get creating a template if we include comments

This is the message we get after creating the template and opening in site, and trying to customize the form: “InfoPath cannot open the following form: https://cg.portal.uscg.mil/units/forcecom/Business_Operations/TQMS/develop/Lists/Convening_ReqsDev/Item/template.xsn. The form definition (.xsf) file contains one or more errors that prevent the form from opening.”

 I am unable to customize the form, suspect has something to do with data connections, but can not get to the point to change connections

Your screenshots don't show for me. Can you attach under the Options tab in a reply?

 

Hmmmm. So you mean you can't create a list template, not an InfoPath template - sorry, I hadn't understood that. Did you check the SharePoint logs for the correlation ID to see if there was anything helpful?
