 Could you share what the patch was?  Office 2016? InfoPath 2013? Both?

I'm not sure what fixed the last poster's issue - but I would usually start with just making sure all updates have been installed. Have you done that? From there, I'd move on to repairing both Office 2016 & IP 2013.

 Yeah - that sort of occurred to me already.  I was looking to see if there was an explanation of WHAT the underlying cause was.

 No problem.  It's good to know someone's reading.  You have no way of knowing my level based on one question, so the "obvious" can often be exactly what's needed.  And I probably was a little "snippier" than merited.  (Caught me right after getting smacked by someone else, somewhere else, for something I didn't do, so maybe I was a *teensy* bit touchy...)  Apologies for rudeness.  <extends hand>

I get concerned about accidentally talking down to people 'cause it annoys me when people do it to me - but yeah, I never know what anyone's general level is (and also am trying to think of those who may read something later who may have a different level!) ;)

 For the benefit of any other victi...  um... user of InfoPath who has read this far, the specific fix appears to be in the InfoPath 2013 update in KB3114946.  Requires Office 2013 SP1 first.

Hilary - I am having the same issue in sending an email from InfoPath 2013 using Office 2016 suite. I've both 64 bit but cannot down with 32 bit version hence client need. During submit an email error pop up the parameter is incorrect. One resoution I got from Microsoft to make email functionality operiotional for InfoPath 2013 and Office 2016 as below: InfoPath 2013 for Office 365 ProPlus Subscription https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/details.aspx?id=48734 After a months this resolution doesn't work. So - I'm a little confused as to what your issue is, but so far the things I've seen cause issues w/ sending email with InfoPath 2013 & Office 2016 are: 1. latest patches not installed (specifically the KB mentioned earlier in this thread), 2. bitwise mismatch (one is 32-bit, the other 64-bit) and just this week, 3. install type (ISO vs. Office 365). It seems like all of these things need to be the same. Hope that helps.

Hi, my company is migrating to Office 2016 and InfoPath 2013.  We have several forms with code and are seeing these problems.  Can you please tell me more about the patch that was used to repair the problem?
