InfoPath 2010 add record to email message so recipient can see specific record

I have a command button which will prepare an email to the selected recipients. The user creates a request to submit to the managers, I want to attach a link to the record just created in the email message

So - it looks like you attached the XML rather than the XSN but this should be possible. You need to make sure the form has been submitted, of course, prior to including a link to it. Just open an existing item in your list, and copy the URL out of the address bar to get an idea of what the URL should look like. You'll need to concatenate in the ID for the current form, since this is for a list, and just put that on the bottom of the view that is sent... Let me know if you need more specific help. :)

Thanks, that path is the one I am currently working on, I was hoping there was a shortcut to this. Basically I am looking at the Alerts to get a feel for what the link would look like.
