Browser form - CAML: not copy repeating table to list

Hi All, I am looking for some help on how to troubleshoot this. I've built a form with a repeating table based on this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4TkcXAbxzBA . The concept is that form will submit to a library and the repeating will submit the data to a seperate list using CAML method.

Currently the form will submit in infopath filler just fine, but when I publish and try to submit from the browser, it will only submit to the library and the repeating table does not submit to the list. I do not receive any errors after submission. i've also tried publishing as administrator approved form.

Any thoughts or ideas on how to troubleshoot this will be much appreciated. I am on SP 2013 and infopath 2013.

Ok - so is this an on premises SharePoint 2013 server? If so, try submitting your data and then go check the ULS logs to see if they have any info that may help.... I would think if the issue was due to loopback check you'd get an error when the web service data connection executed, however.... Are you submitting data to any date time column types? Maybe drag your CAML XML data source onto the form (make sure it will show the values of the fields) and then see what the data looks like in Filler vs. Browser?

I went through the Logs and didn't really see anything that stood out as to why it doesn't copy over to the list. Other than this line.. maybe? I am really at a lost as to why it would work in Infopath Filler and not the browser. please help!

I can't imagine an Excel Calc. services error would have anything to do with the form's failure to submit to the list. If you drag your CAML XML onto the form when you submit, does all the data look ok? If you try to manually create a list item with the same data, do you succeed?

sorry - i do not know what you mean by drag the CAML XML onto the form? if i manually add an entry into the list - there are no issues

You are using the SharePoint List web service to create your list entry? Your post title indicates you are using CAML to submit - usually, I have secondary data source with the CAML schema? You can drag that data source onto the form so you can see your values you are submitting in the browser and compare to the filler?

thats correct - i have the web service setup as a submit data connection and the XML file as a data connection as well. If i drag the XML doc onto the form in the browser, it just opens up the XML doc in the browser. Sorry!! i'm new to this and i'm just learning this on the fly!

In your InfoPath form, in design mode, in the Fields task pane, you should have a secondary data connection to your XML file. Drag that onto the form in design mode. Preview and make sure you can see the data you intend to submit - you may have to change some controls, etc. Attach the file under the Options tab in a reply if you need help. Then you can preview & see what data you are submitting in filler, publish, and see if the data looks the same in the browser.

it doesn't do anything when i drag it ontop of the fields task pane - just changes my mouse to a "not permitted" cursor. i've attached my xsn file

Save the attached file locally. Right click and select design to open in design mode. From there you can preview. You'll want to disable your rule that closes the form on submit to test.

thank you so much! yes the data is the same in filler and the same in the browser after i published it - what are my next steps?

edit: i'm also open to suggestions on alternative solutions to this that can be done out of the box if it is easier

i just followed this to try something basic: http://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/matt/archive/2006/02/02/Add-SharePoint-List-Items-with-InfoPath.aspx - the data will copy in infopath filler, but when i publish the form to sharepoint and open it in the browser, the data does not copy over and no error messages

Do you have access to the ULS logs? I'd check there next....
