    Query ID from Calculated Field

Hi, I am trying to create a calculated column in SharePoint that creates a hyperlink to my InfoPath form.

I am having trouble filtering the search parameters.

    ="<a target='_blank' href='https://Sitename/Groups/61019708/LEARN/Lists/Nominations/Item/newifs.aspx?ID='[ID]'>Nominate</a>"

This populates as the hyperlink with the Calculated column as a number. However doesn't search for the ID information.

    Ends up opening like: 'https://Sitename/Groups/61019708/LEARN/Lists/Nominations/Item/newifs.aspx?ID=

As the SharePoint list is already populated with information the ID number has been created, I would like to open my InfoPath form using the ID number, and prepopulating the fields.

I have the InfoPath form working with a drop down box using ID as the filter. Its the link I am having trouble with.

Can anyone help and tell me or lead me somewhere I can get help with coding and searching for ID.

    Thank you in advance,

So - I'm sorry, the reason I've not been responding to your question on this is because I still don't understand. Is the form you are trying to open a list form? Or a regular InfoPath form that is published to a library? When you say "ends up opening like" and include the URL - are you saying that your calculated column doesn't seem to include the ID from the current item? I wouldn't think you'd need the quotes around ID.... If you take that same link and add a valid ID number to it, and paste that in your browser address bar, what happens?

    What version of SharePoint?

On my ShP 2013 site, this URL opens a list item to edit:
    https://server/siteLists/MappingList/EditForm.aspx?ID=23

However, if the form you are trying to open is NOT a list form, you'll have to add logic to consume the input parameter of ID - code, qRules, or you can put the form in a webpart & use query parameters.

     Hi Hilary

Thank you for the response. I am a newbie at all this so when I write it might not make sense but in my head it does :).

So the form is an InfoPath form. The form is created from one list but pulls it's secondary data from the list that I want the ID. I am thinking that I need logic - code or qRules. I have read up and thought the webpart would be great but for some reason my employer doesn't have the Forms under Category in SP. I am using SP2013.

I created a link in the Secondary Source list using a calculated column attaching the InfoPath form and using aspx?ID="&ID"'. This will open up the InfoPath form and showing  ID=number which is attached to the list line.

My issue is I would like that row of data when opening the link to pre-populate the information on to the InfoPath form. I can attach screen shots if needed.

     Thank you

You'll need to add code to your InfoPath form in order to consume the input parameter, if you can't use  the web part approach. The code is pretty simple: https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/infopath/2007/02/26/passing-data-into-a-form-input-parameters/

But, once you add code to the form, it has to either be admin approved, or sandbox solutions have to be enabled for your site collection.
