InfoPath 2013 form to SharePoint Online - Date form does not convert correctly

    Hi everyone,

I am hoping that I can resolve the following issue:

I have created a form where one of my fields is a repeating table with on column which is a date field. I have set the field properties to be Data Type = Date and the format to be *3/14/2001 (this is the first choice in the "Display the date like this")

I have promoted the column and am merging the dates and when I publish and open the form and add dates, SharePoint returns (example) "2017/3/15". They merge fine, I just get the wrong format

Any thoughts on what I am missing? Will sharepoint return dates in the format that I select in the form or not?

Thank you in advance for any assistance.

The format of the date in your form will not impact the actual value - and the value is what is promoted. XML stores dates in yyyy/MM/DD format. The only work around would be to use substring functions to store the date value in another field in the format you want and then promote that, I'm afraid.
