    Visual Studio 2005

I have been using infopath and visual studio 2003 for a while without any problems

I have know been asked to do some work using visual studio 2005 but I cannot get it to create infopath projects

I have looked for the toolkit that you needed for vs2003 but could not find a vs2005 version and the vs2003 version would not install

    What have I missed?

Try this link in the Microsoft.Com site:

    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/officeupdate/CD010798411033.aspx

I believe that is where I got my add-in. I've been working with InfoPath / VB.Net and really like it.

    One link to look at:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dno2k3ta/html/Office2003OverviewDeveloperToolsPrograms.asp

This one seems to be only for VS2003:
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=7E9EBC57-E115-4CAC-9986-A712E22879BB&displaylang=en

This one is for VS2005, and as best as I can tell, covers both IP2003 and IP2007:
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=00779894-E95F-4B22-8590-07584C891207&displaylang=en

This last one appears to be an update from VSTO for just IP2003 to also include IP2007, although they claim that products supported in just IP2007. However, I can't seem to locate one for VS2005 that only covers IP2003.

    Good luck.

It was on a seperate CD, I installed it and everything seemed fine however I had same problem as Dinos on a microsoft google group where I get a error message

"InfoPath cannot open the selected form because of an error in the form's code. The format of the file 'FormName.dll' is invalid"

Greg has already posted a reply

"Did you create an "InfoPath.exe.config" file? If so, rename it to "InfoPath.exe.!config" and try again."

I have not created this file and I can not find one, how do I go about finding one or creating one?

I'm glad to hear you got it working. Yes, as I understand it, if you want to use VS2005, you must have .NET 2 installed.
