    Invalid update: A custom constraint has been viol

    has anyone else experienced this. if so, are there any work arounds.on my form i have a combox box which has an onchange event tied to it. if the cbx selection is changed then a confirmation prompt is displayed. user then selects yes or no.the yes bit works, but the selecting no results in the error above.

    The combobox has a validation rule which prohibits it from being blank

    function msoxd__Activity_Status_attr::OnBeforeChange(eventObj)
    {
    try {
    if (eventObj.NewValue != eventObj.OldValue){
    var resp = XDocument.UI.Confirm("Are you sure you want to delete this record?", 4);
    if (resp != 6 ) {
    eventObj.ReturnStatus = false;
    }else{
    eventObj.ReturnStatus = true;
    }
    }
    } catch (e) {}
    }

    cheers in advance

    Hi,

    Because you are using code behind already, why don't your perform the validation by code and remove your rule?
