From what I can tell the "button" the user clicks to add an item to a repeating section always appears at the bottom of the repeating table. Can I move that "button" to the top of the repeating section?

Yes, you can hide the button and create another button to do the insertion.

Hi Dave,
There is another way to do this,
Open View.xsl file, copy total line which says "Insert Item" and place it just inside the <table> tag. Save the file and open manifest.xsf file in design mode and preview it, you should be able to see the "Insert Item" button at the top of the repeating table.
