    Infopath and snitz

    Hello

Are there some code examples for integrating a form (infopath) into a certaine topic of a snitz forum. I want to evaluate my students with a standard infopath form and the content of that form has to integrate into a topic (only accesseble for that student only) of a snitz forum

Hi Cladon, and welcome to our humble forum!
Now this is a great idea! We should be doing this! It shouldn't be hard but depends on whether Snitz supports xml submits. Do you know much about the Snitz interface? We will investigate.

Yes I ame familiar with snitz. I know there is a possibility to submit data from excel to access (sql)through xml (via the web).

I see the great possibilities of infopath. When it is possibel to intergrate infopath with snitz then Sharepoint is not needed (we can save a lot money).

We have a Forms Dashboard tool that is a simplified ASPX for forms in a database. Check out the eval version in the free downloads section.

SharePoint has a weak story for security sandbox. Basically, there is no way to sandbox webparts. In addition, I find the implicit locking to cause problems, and there are perf issues above 2-3000 forms in a single library. The greatest feature of SharePoint is the personal views and ease with which office workers can modify their views and do simple reporting.

No that is not what i mean. Snitz is a ASP-product. Is there a way to publish the data collected on a infopath form into a MS-Access database (the one snitz is using)

At the snitz forum only the collected data (from a infopath form) will be shown as a reply on a topic. I have to modify a file called topic.asp

Since you have Snitz using an Access database, you should be able to create a form based on that database. You need to familiarize yourself enough with the db struture to know which tables need to be present in the form for a submit to work properly.

Also there are probably other things going on in the background when a submit happens. You will need to discover whether those things are automatically triggered via the submit of data, or whether you need to handle those yourself via code.

Ultimately you should be able to do this without any problem once you have a firm grasp of the Snitz database in action.
