Test web services availability w/ Jscript

    Hi experts,

Is there a way to write code in Jscript to test whether a web service is available? I plan to locate this code in the onload block because I want to make sure the web service, which is used to populate my form, is available before the form is opened. Thx a mil in advance!

    Hi Jeffrey Law,
    Welcome to the Forum!
If you you dont want the form to be opened if the webservice is not available, While you are creating a connection to webservice in the last stage of creation there will be check box with "Automatically retrieve when form is opened" text, check that check box.

So what happens here is when you open the form if the webservice is not available InfoPath will throw you an error that it cannot connect to webservice.
