    Is Forms Viewer free?

Please explain me, is Forms Viewer free or not. I see there are different pricing options for it. But I can't clearly understand, if there is also free version included. It's not clearly explained in the website.

    Hi Arthur,

Thank you for your post (and nice pic!). :)

I appreciate your feedback. We need to make this clearer on our web site.

There are two versions of FormsViewer.

    1. Cloud - this is a "freemium" licensing model. It is free for up to 200 form opens per month. There is no "limiter" so if you exceed that nothing will fail but we will ask for an upgrade. The reason why we have to charge for high usage is that we have to pay Microsoft for CPU processing on the Azure backend piece that extracts the form details from the XSN to forward to the client app.
    2. On Prem - this is a "free" license since it runs on your On Prem server.  However, we do require a support plan to help you install and configure the product. The support plan is equivalent to a number of support hours per quarter and starts as low as 4 hours per quarter (Qdabra Basic Support). For On Prem deployments, we suggest a minimum of Qdabra Enterprise support (corresponds to 16 hours per quarter). You can read about these support plans on our Web site here: http://www.qdabra.com/en/support/SolutionAssurancePlan.aspx

Bottom line: because we have the only app that migrates InfoPath XSNs "as is" you save an incredible amount of time and money since you don't have to rebuild your solution. We also provide tools like DBXL to extract data from your existing XMLs if you decide that you want to rebuild and migrate your solution, but with FormsViewer you don't have to. And the licensing is very very inexpensive (and free for most users).

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

    Thanks again,

     Hi Patrick,

One more question about On Prem version: does it work on SharePoint 2016 as well?

    Thanks
