    Web Browser rather than InfoPath

This might be more of a SharePoint question (part of the issue is going to SP Online), but trying here first. We had a SharePoint site home page that users open up and clicked a link that created a new InfoPath form (instead of the user going to the Library the form is published and clicking new there). With the new SharePoint Online, I created the same link, however, it seems the site is wanting to open the link in the web browser rather than InfoPath. My question is - how can I get SPO to open with InfoPath rather than the Web Browser? The link I use is https://twdc.sharepoint.com/sites/WDPR-FWC/docs/WRS/Test/Forms/template.xsn". The "new" button in the library works fine and opens up the form with InfoPath - so basically I want to "move" that option to the home page so user don't have to navigate to the library. Let me know if there is something I am missing in creating this.

    Thanks,

    Frankie D.

I think you need to add a parameter after .xsn in your URL - try ?noredirect=true and see if that helps. :)

Awesome - that did the trick to get it to open in InfoPath!!! thanks for the help on that. But now one more thing on this - now before it opens, it only gives me an option to save the file instead of just opening. After I save it, it then asks to open the file - which works/opens great - however, this leaves templates saved in my Documents folder. When I do it more than once, I get more templates saved with a number attached. So this is creating more files on the user's computer rather than just opening the form. I want a form to open without having the user to save a template first. Any way to get that part to work?

     Appreciate the insight
