Querying a database with more than 2000 rows

I've got a nifty little piece to my form that allows users to enter in an ID and then six fields are filled in automatically. When the ID field changes the forms queries an SQL Server database that is setup as an External List in SharePoint. I use the Query field ID so that only one row is returned. It only takes one second to retrieve the data, but it only works if my external table has fewer than 2000 rows. Even though I am only returning one row of data it will not work if there are 2001 rows in my table. It always throws an error. Is there any way around this? I need about 16,000 rows in this table.

Hmmmm. I wonder if the external list is set to only display 2000 items? Or maybe there is a threshold on the list?

You're right. I thought it was an Infopath issue, but it's a SharePoint setting. I'll talk to my Systems department. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

"Database Connector has throttled the response. The response from database contains more than '2000' rows. The maximum number of rows that can be read through Database Connector is '2000'. The limit can be changed via the 'Set-SPBusinessDataCatalogThrottleConfig' cmdlet."
