SP 2013 - Edit selected in list but only want user to see their portion not approval portion too....

Background:  I'm using SP 2013.  Created a list, along with a full form under 1 view, then made two new views of the form (client view and approval view).  Under list I have a My submitted request view that is the one I'm addressing with this post.  This view is the setup for those that submit a request they can see the status of their request from a web part built into my main page.  One of the cells is a status of review.  I would like to keep the edit capability the list view provides to allow the user update new information that might be needed to address their improvement request when it is in review.  However, when I test the edit of what they submitted it gives me the clients view plus the approval view.

Is there a way that I can give the client edit capabilities to allow them to add in more information on the view they submitted from, but not have them see the approval view?  If all possible want to do this without having to do C# or JQuery coding.

    Thank you.

Can you attach a screenshot under a reply that demonstrates your question? I'm sorry, I'm having a hard time understanding. :)

     Hilary,

Thank you for replying.  Unfortunately I can not supply screen shots based on employment.  After the client completes the form it goes to a my submitted request view.  This view houses both the approver section and what the client submitted.  I believe I might be on right track to allow the edit function to this list to be visible for the client to update by doing a load page using name and hiding the approver view if the name is not in my list of approvers.  That way when the approver team goes into the same view when it loads it the rule that the name(s) matches the list, then the approver view will show only for them and not the client.  Not sure out of the list tasks status of new, in progress, review, completed if I can make only the review have edit capabilities.

Let me know if that helped any.
