    Creating SharePoint list entry from button press

    Hi,
    I have a form which contains many different text fields. At the bottom of the form is a button. When this button is pressed I would like to be able to select the data from certain fields in the form and send this to a SharePoint list. I can see how to send ALL the information to a SharePoint document library but not how to select certain fields into a list. Can this be done?
    Thanks very much!

    Thanks for that, almost works. But when I press submit I get an error:
    The SOAP response indicates that an error occurred on the server:

    Exception of type Microsoft.SharePoint.SoapServer.SoapServerException was thrown.
    <detail>
    <errorstring xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/sharepoint/soap/">The parameter is incorrect.</errorstring>
    </detail>

    Any ideas?

    Thanks, Clare

    I think this is because I have other fields on the same form which I do not want submitted. Is it possible to submit only specified fields?
    Thanks

    Hi,

    My question is, you do not want submit some fileds from all views or only from partcular view.
    if you do not want to submit form particluar view,You can create a seperate view containing those fields you want to submit.

    I hope this will help you,

    Thanks.
