Hi,

I am trying to do 2 things here but it seems InfoPath is limited with the ways it handles URL:

1. A browser form has a link. When the user clicks on that link, can it open the URL in the same browser window? Essentially I want users to be able to go from one form to another in the same window.

2. User decides to click cancel on a form. Can the cancel redirect the user to another form? I've changed the "&Source" parameter but it didn't work.

Note that using different views in the same form is not an option for me because these are very different intake forms stored in separate libraries. However, they are all on the same SharePoint.

An example of the URL I created would be

http://abcsharepoint/FormServer.aspx?XsnLocation=http://ABCSharePoint/Library123/Forms/template.xsn&OpenIn=browser&DefaultView=ViewName&DefaultItemOpen=1&Source=http://ABCSharePoint/FormServer.aspx?XMlLocation=http://ABCSharePoint/Library456/SubmittedForm.xml&DefaultItemOpen=1

I don't believe there is a way to get the link to open in the same window. I have a form that redirects to another form on close - if I recall correctly, I had to URL Encode the source parameter - an online URL encoder will help with that.

Could you please expand on how to URL Encode the source parameter?

I can use any online encoder I guess?

 Yeah, just search for "Online URL Encoder" - I use this one: http://meyerweb.com/eric/tools/dencoder/

Paste in everything past the = sign on your Source param, and encode it, then paste that back into the URL you are trying to create. Test the URL and see if you are now returned to your desired form on close.
