    QDabra Forms Viewer

How does the forms viewer work with digitally signing a document?  Do I need to have the Microsoft Digital Signature Control add-on installed in the client  when documents are signed a browser, or is the behavior similar to signing a document in the client?

    Hi Catherine,

Thank you for your interest in FormsViewer.

I sent email to you separately. Thank you for uploading your form.

Digital signatures is one of the few features that FormsViewer v1.3 still does not support. I recommend using our Electronic Signatures XTP as a workaround for now. Here's a link: http://www.qdabra.com/en/forms/ElectronicSignature.aspx. If you buy a FormsViewer support plan, we can wave the cost of the electronic signature integration time.

I will add your request to our future features wish list and if others are also interested, we'll implement.

Obviously, there are not very many people using digisig with InfoPath. Amongst our 3000+ customers since 2004, I think we have maybe 10 customers use them. Most form scenarios do not require a legally binding digisig. And, electronic signatures work fine for those.

    Cheers!

    Patrick
