    Autopopulate infopath form

Hi there, long story short. I have two InfoPath forms. The user fills out the first InfoPath form, a workflow is generated, he receives a link to a second InfoPath form and I am hoping that certain fields from the first InfoPath form, that appear in the second InfoPath form, will be Auto populated with the information the user put in the first InfoPath form.. I don't know much about jquery or xml so I just don't know how to do it. Data connection doesn't seem to work. Help

So - if the second form uses input parameters, those can be passed in via the URL. But you'd need code in the second form to use those input parameters - are these browser forms? If so, you could host form 2 in a web part, then pass in a query param in the URL, and use form load rules in the second form to get data from the first form. For example, your URL in the workflow could include the form name for the first form, and in your second form, that data could be used to query for the first form, then use rules to set field values in the second form....

Sure it's on sharepoint 2010, and both forms on Web parts on the browser. Any advice on the possible parameters or string? Thanks so much

https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/infopath/2010/06/03/how-to-pass-querystring-data-into-an-infopath-form/ has info on passing in a parameter. I'd just use something unique to form 1, pass it in the URL, and then in form 2, have logic to query for form 1 from its library, and rules to populate the fields.
