    owssvr.dll connection

     Hi all,

I am trying to copy sharepoint list values to infopath repeating sections by owssvr.dll connection and qrules Insert command.

    It works fine in Infopath.

But when I publish to form library, it doesn't insert any row in repeating sections and Count in ViewOption is also zero.

    Some suggestion please!

Insert command can't be used with owssvr.dll connection for browser form?

Why I use owssvr.dll without using sharepoint list connection is, I also want to filter the list.

Thanks in advance and hopefully someone can help!

Generally if a qRules command works in filler but not in browser, postback settings on the control need to be set to always. But I'm wondering if your query is failing in the browser - are you simply executing the query, or do you use the qRules FilterOwssvr command?

I tried both ways, FilterOwssvr command and adding FilterField and FilterValue. Both ways work in Filler but fail in browser. I use the following commands in field change of a textbox.

    concat("FilterOwssvr /dsname=Detail Info /filter=LinkTitle /value=", .)

    count(xdXDocument:GetDOM("Detail Info")/xml/rs:data/z:row)

    concat("Insert /parent=/my:myFields/my:Group /child=my:Group1 /count=", Count)

    I am in wrong way?

Did you check the postback settings on the control that executes the command?

     Yes, already set to Always.

Put the QdabraRules execution history on your form so you can check for errors on any of your commands - are there any in the browser?

     The first Error is :

"Failed to execute query to url /sites/sitetesting/_vti_bin/owssvr.dll?Cmd=Display&List=%7b7C6B3932-35BC-4CDD-B4F4-645422AC4613%7d&View=%7b1FDFA784-B24C-459D-BF24-DC369F71AADB%7d&XMLDATA=TRUE&noredirect=true&FilterField1=Day_x002f_Night&FilterValue1=Day&FilterField2=Tax_x0020_or_x0020_Extra&FilterValue2=Tax&FilterField1=LinkTitle&FilterValue1=testuser: The form cannot run the specified query.    Inner exception: The form cannot run the specified query. "

at Command "FilterOwssvr /dsname=Detail Info /filter=LinkTitle /value=testuser" and

    The second Error is :

"Count must be a positive integer."

    at Command "Insert /parent=/my:myFields/my:Group /child=my:Group1 /count=0"

The URL in the command looks weird compared to what you pasted as the command you are running. Can I see a copy of your form?
