InfoPath Dev

 We have a form published as a site content type and need to open the template in filler for printing etc. I have the URL functional but can't seem to pass or get at the parameters as expected. Below is the url we are using. The form is on Office 365. We need the id2 parameter.

We are using VSTA code to access the e.InputParameters.Count to check and always getting a 0 count???

 If you test opening a local copy of the form using the command prompt, do you have different results? https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/infopath/2007/02/26/passing-data-into-a-form-input-parameters/ has info on how to do this....

 Yes, we can open in the command line at get them with no problem. Only when we use the URL method do we lose them???

That's wild. Have you tried with an InfoPath 2013 template? Just wondering - I'd guess since you are Office 365, your users have access to InfoPath 2013.... I'll try to see if I can reproduce this later this week.

OK - I can't repro this. I published a form w/ code that returns the count of input params to a field in the form - and I open it in client, passing in input params - and I get a count back. When I try to open with a link I get prompted to save first, but I can see in a dialog when I open that my parameters are included.

Sure - https://qdabra.sharepoint.com/sites/Hilary/TEST%20IP/Forms/template.xsn?&OpenIn=client&noredirect=true&idTest=1212 is what I used, and first I get the bottom bar in the browser asking if I wish to Save. I do, the bottom bar in the browser shows an Open button. I click open and I can see a dialog (briefly, you know how sneaky IP is) that shows the URL being opened, and it includes my input params. When the form opens, the field I am setting to the count of input parameters has the value of 3 - adding or removing parameters changes the count. Attaching a copy of the form here - the code is included in the zip file.

 I have exhausted all of my brain power on this one. Is there any way we can work on this together?

 I found the issue to be with IE 11, it works in the new Windows 10 browser, Edge? What version or browser did you test with?

 Answer: In IE 11 you have to select "Save" and then you can chose "Open".
