Copy Sharepoint list values to infopath repeating sections fields

     Hi,

I am trying to copy sharepoint list values to infopath browser form repeating sections fields by qrules Insert command.

I also need to insert new repeating sections and then submit back to sharepoint list by qrules SubmitToSharepointList command.

My form also has conditional rules and populating dropdown listboxes with sharepoint list data in repeating sections.

It works fine in infopath and I can insert new repeating sections as much as I want.

But after publishing to sharepoint, the form hang, rules in form are not working and nothing can do with the form but to reload the page.

Any help on that case would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Okay - first, is this in Office 365? Or an on premises server? Next, have you set the controls that execute your commands to always postback? That is under the control's properties, in the browser tab.

No. Not with office 365 and also not on premises server.

I haven't set all controls in the form to always postback. Do I need to set?

     Thanks.

Try setting postback to always & see if it helps. You can also attach your form to a reply under the options tab & I can take a look at it.

Thanks much ... I tried to set postback to always and it works fine until testing and submitting about 3 forms and hung again then.

Sorry, it is not ok to attach the form cause of including the company data.

You may want to ask your SharePoint admin for help, see if there is anything in the logs that is of use.

     One more question please, Hilary.

In that case, if I delete one repeating section and then when I submit back to SharePoint list, can SP list row be deleted, too?

     Thanks in advance.

Yes, but you'll have to implement the RefreshSharePointListItems command for this (or add a button for the delete and use CAML). You can use refresh in report mode if you don't want your items updated with changes from the list.

I am trying with RefreshSharePointListItems and got the following error in qdabra's error node.

"Error querying for SharePoint List Items for list {7C6B3932-35BC-4CDD-B4F4-645422AC4613}: The query cannot be run for the following DataObject: Refresh InfoPath cannot run the specified query. InfoPath cannot open the following file: Refresh&FilterField1=ID&FilterValue1=975. The system cannot find the file specified. | Failed to refresh list items: No list items to refresh. Verify parameters are correct. | Failed to refresh list items: No list items to refresh. Verify parameters are correct."

ID=975 is my first repeating section and I use the command "RefreshSharePointListItems /dsname=Refresh" in Form Submit.

Is your Refresh data connection an owssvr.dll connection?

Yes. I use "http://server/sites/_vti_bin/owssvr.dll?Cmd=Display&List={7C6B3932-35BC-4CDD-B4F4-645422AC4613}&XMLDATA=TRUE&noredirect=true" for my xml data connection.

And the data connection's name is "Refresh"? Can I see your form? If you don't want to post it on the forum, you can email it to Support AT Qdabra DOT com, and include a link to this thread.

     Thanks a lot.

Yes, my data connection's name is "Refresh". I tried to open the URL I am using to create the data connection in browser and save xml and then when I tried to open it, that includes only first 30 rows of data from the list.

Actually my list has over 1000 rows.

It is probably only including the data from the default view. When the filter is applied by qRules, it should return the row for that specific item. I haven't seen a copy of your form yet - so again, either attach here under Options, or feel free to email to Support AT Qdabra DOT com.
