Auto Populate Infopath form based on selection

     Hello,

Newbie here to InfoPath. What I am looking to accomplish is to auto populate fields based upon a selection. I have already did the Retrieve data function to pull the SharePoint list (Its Actually a Form Library) Title that I want to use. The secondary field (Cont_ID) is where I am having trouble. I would like to filter the data that is associated to that form title or ID.

    Scenario:

I have the Title of a form that is selected from a dropdown (this is where I did Retrieve Data Connection) in the form where I would like to have the field (Cont_ID) to populate a text box in the new form. Cont_ID is already a field contained in the form that is selected in the drop down. All of the data contained in the form selected is already populated to a SharePoint library so it can be pulled, so its just not residing in a InfoPath form.

    I hope that makes sense.

    Thanks!

Okay, you should be able to do this just by adding a filter to the field when you set the value - so, on the dropdown, the rule is to set the text box on your form with the Cont_ID from the secondary data source where the Title matches the dropdown. If you want to attach your form under the Options tab, I can give you a had with the rule. :)
