Generate an email if the field is being updated

In my form i have a rule that auto populates data into fields on form load. I want my form to be able to email me when somebody updates the data in the auto populated fields on submit. How do i do this? Thanks in advance!

    Hi Sajith,

Here's one idea.... add a rule to the fields that you want to get notifications when changed. This rule should set a new field called "sendNotifications". Set it to true, or whatever. Something non-blank.

On submit, add a rule with a condition that checks to see if sendNotifications is not blank. If so, send an email to you. I'm assuming the form is filler, but if it's browser you can do the same thing with InfoPath or with a SharePoint workflow that looks at the sendNotifications field. For the SharePoint workflows approach, you will need to promote the new field. Go to File -> Form Properties and click on Promoted Properties and add it.

    Totally doable.

    Good luck,
