    Help: Image Button

    Hi Guys,

    This is my first post here. And I need a little help with getting image buttons to work.

    Designed my first InfoPath form template in Visual Studio 2005 with the VSTO add-on. Followed the link below to create a few image buttons that basically change views, and they worked great in the preview and within InfoPath 2007.

    But when the template is published to a SharePoint Server, everything looks identical and works, except for the image buttons. Instead of images, the area is replaced by a grey area. The button functionalities still work, views still can be changed, but there are no pretty images, which makes the form pretty boring.

    There is also a logo image, which still displays properly on the form in the browser when the template is published to SharePoint. So I have no clue why the button images are not.

    I'm using:
    - VS2005 with VSTO final
    - InfoPath 2007
    - SharePoint Server 2007
    - IE7

    Below is the code in View1.xsl:

    <input class="langFont" title="" style="BORDER-RIGHT: medium none; BACKGROUND-POSITION: center 50%; BORDER-TOP: medium none; FONT-SIZE: x-small; BACKGROUND-IMAGE: url(basics_selected.gif); BORDER-LEFT: medium none; WIDTH: 167px; BORDER-BOTTOM: medium none; BACKGROUND-REPEAT: no-repeat; HEIGHT: 47px" type="button" xd:xctname="Button" xd:CtrlId="CTRL1_5" tabIndex="0"/>

    Thanks in Advance!
    p.s. Great site!

    Hi Machi-nk and welcome to our forum!
    I'm terrible sorry that noone responded to you. Anyway, I'm guessing that you are viewing the forms in SharePoint Form Server (i.e. the browser). If so, there may be a limitation in the browser to display the images on buttons. The Form Server functionality is a subset of the rich client. You may also look at the browser compatibility settings in the InfoPath designer. Not sure if that has anything though. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
