Hi- I'm sure this must be a common question, but I cannot find the answer. I have a form that has been in place for a bit, and as such I have a number of submitted forms that answer the questions asked in the form. I'd like to make changes to a few of the questions. Doing this, though, will change the questions in the already completed forms. What is the correct process for making changes like this to an already existing form that already has submitted responses? Thank you - Jason

 Hi Jason,

I'd suggest:

(1) keeping existing fields, but hide the question and answer in the view. -- you may need to set section and put question and answer fields to the area to be hidden.   

(2) Add new fields for new questions.

(3) Add new field for Question Version, and set V2 or so.

Then

• for new form, hide old question and answer
• for already submitted form with old QA: they should have blank Question Version. so show old questions, and you may hide new questions. when you open submitted form

Ah...I understand. Thank you for the explanation, Kaoru. So, the previously submitted forms will have no response for the new questions, so I'll know when to hide the new questions and when to hide the old questions. I'll try this. Thank you--Jason
