Keep a form open to do multiple entries

I am VERY new to this and appreciate your help.  I have created a simple list and an entry form.  The form has an employee name (drop down list), place of employment, compensation, date of compensation.  I have multiple employees that have the same data in all of those fields except employee name.  I would like to submit the data for employee 1 and keep the form open and just change the drop down list for employee name to the next name and submit the same information for that employee until I am done entering and then close on the last submission.

    Can anyone help me out?

    Thanks!

So, I figured out how to change the option to Leave the form open or to open a new form on submit, but the two things I am seeing are:

with Leave the Form Open it only saves the last record that I enter.  More like an edit vs. a new entry.

with  Open a New Form I lose the data that is in the fields that I want to keep from record to record.

Perhaps there is a way to save the data in the form fields to another list that would temporarily hold that data to populate to the form when it reopens?

What about if your list form was set to allow you to edit multiple entries? I think that is an option when you design a SharePoint list form - then we could use preceding-sibling formula (I can help you with that) to populate the same info in the newly added items....

Hilary,  I just saw your reply.  I am sorry it has taken me this long to return a message.  I set up the list form to allow multiple entries.  That works well.  I have 5 fields in my form and the only one that I want to change from entry to entry is the Employee Name dropdown box.  Can you explain the preceding-sibling formula and where I would enter this code?  Thank you!

Can you attach a copy of your form to a reply, under the Options tab?

I think I added it on the options tab.  Thanks!

This form doesn't seem to have a repeating schema, which I'd expect if set up for multiple entries? Are you certain you attached the correct copy?

Let's try this one.  I am really new at this stuff!  Thank you for your patience.

So, when I talk about the form needing to have a repeating schema to be able to manage multiple items, I mean you need to start from InfoPath, select SharePoint list form, select your existing list, and then check the box that indicates you'll be managing multiple items in the form. I've attached a screenshot that shows your form's schema in advanced view - see how your data source isn't repeating? The next shot is the option to manage multiple, and the final shot is what my form's schema looks like after taking that option.
