Rest connection values available in Preview but not in Browser - Adding a link to a document in a doc library

Relative newbie here, would appreciate if someone could either help me with the issue or suggest a better approach to my problem??

This is what I am trying to achieve and the issue …

I have a document library that contains Reports.

I have created a list called “Definitions”, this contains definitions of terms within the Reports - each definition will only relate to one Report.

When someone adds a new definition I want them to be able to select the name of the report it relates to, but I want the URL to be the actual value so that when people click on the name of the document from the list it will open the actual document.

I ‘think’ I have may have achieved this by creating a rest connection back to the document/report library and binding it to the drop down I have created with the value being the document url but the display name as the document title??

This seems to work when I preview in infopath .. the names of the reports are visible in the drop down (however I cant tell if the url is there in the background)

But when I try to open the published form in the browser I get this error

Hi - your screenshots don't show in your original post - do you have access to the SharePoint ULS logs, or a SharePoint Admin who could get you information on the error if you give her the correlation ID? I think, in general, we see a 5566 when loop back check is not disabled and we are trying to use SharePoint web services in a browser form - but you may get better info from the logs. Here's a blog post that may help: http://www.jeremytaylor.net/2010/05/24/sharepoint-disable-loopback-check-disableloopbackcheck-dword-in-registry/
