I have a problem in infoptah 2010 and hopefully you can help me.

I talk the situation: I have an InfoPath form with a Drop down list I use to describe some country, and a combo box where in which I discharged 3 countries (Mexico, USA and Canada), add a Repeating Section to add the description of each country.

My question is this: is it possible to open the form identifies the Drop down list contains 3 countries and add 3 Repeating Sectios to describe each country?

Hi - This is tricky without writing code. Do you mean the user would actually enter a string like "Mexico, USA and Canada" into a combo box and you'd need to parse it to know that it was three countries? Or is the combo box in a repeating section and the user selects first one country, then the next?

hi hilary, the combo box is out of the repeating section. Try repeating sections are automatically generated when you open the form. It is possible? I thank you so much.

If you want more than one instance of a repeating section when you open a new form, you can set that in the default values - Data tab in the Ribbon, look for Defaults... find your repeating group and insert new instances.

There is no rule action in InfoPath to add instances of repeating groups. You either need to use code (or qRules) or include the repeating groups by default and use some kind of conditional formatting to hide them if they aren't needed.
