Hello , pls my manage want me to create a web registering form for online registering to collect data but we want the data submited to be in word or pdf to a folder to be edited and also into email .so that the office can print and sign it part but we do not want the office part to appear in the browser .we already have a company website we are hosting on windows 2008 r2 server with iis 7 and want to added the registration part to the company website will like to know if we need both sharepoint server software and inforpath becasause we have bought share point server 2012 and do not know how to go about it.  Well - InfoPath can submit data in email, so it should be able to handle that. As to creating a Word doc or PDF, I think you'll need to use a third party tool. You can use views or sections to determine which data and layout shows where. Your question is extremely broad, so you may want to just dig in and start trying to build your form then post more specific questions as you move forward.
